TeamViewer Portable is a non-installable edition of the TeamViewer remote access client that runs directly from external media such as a USB drive. It executes on Windows operating systems without modifying registry entries or requiring administrative installation.
TeamViewer Portable maintains the same remote connectivity protocols as the standard version, including encrypted sessions and cross-platform communication. It supports remote control, file transfer, and session recording through direct execution of its modules. It’s primarily distributed as a desktop application. TeamViewer Portable executes the same remote communication protocols as the installed version, supporting encrypted remote control sessions via 256-bit AES and 4096-bit RSA key exchange. It includes file transfer capabilities, displays progress within the transfer dialog, and records sessions in TeamViewer’s proprietary .tvs format, which can later be exported to .avi. The portable build runs the standard client interface, with tabs for remote control, file transfer, and meeting modules.

Connection fields are arranged in fixed input areas for partner ID and session key.
