Tera Term is an open source, free, software implemented, terminal emulator application. It can emulate different types of computer terminals, from DEC VT100 to DEC VT382, and it supports telnet, SSH 1 & 2 and serial port connections. It also has a built-in macro scripting language and some other useful plugins. Key features include: Automatically creates logs with unique log names. Supports SSH, standard telnet and serial ports. Supports dec/digital/vt terminal standards. Tera Term is a useful application, which allows the connection to any remote Telnet or SSH hosts. It sports a clean and crisp layout that is easy to work with. The application does not take a long time to wrap your head around and is also very light on system resources. So, if you need a free terminal emulator, which is easy to master and supports remote Telnet or SSH host connections then Tera Term is a good choice.

TreeSize

TreeSize Free is a useful app that makes managing your disk space easy, by providing accurate views of how much space any given group of files is taking up on your computer. You can start TreeSize Free from the context menu of a folder or drive. It shows you the size of this folder, including its subfolders. If you need to see more info regarding any subfolders, you can expand folders and can see the size of every subfolder. Key Features Include: Locate disk space issues. Overall, this handy little utility occupies minimal disk space, uses a small amount of system resources and has an intuitive interface on standard and touch enabled devices.

The user feels as though they have complete control over the PC. but, in reality, they haven't as Reboot Restore Rx will automatically restore the PC to a predefined start point every time the workstation is restarted, or turned on. This makes the PC perfectly configured for the next user. Reboot Restore Rx has a Robust Architecture that boots prior to Windows and will function at the sector level of the hard drive, not within the Windows OS. This protects the Master Boot Record (MBR), and therefore the security of the PC. Overall, Reboot Restore Rx is really handy tool to have installed on public access PC's. It is a great freeware solution to protect from potential disasters as it is unobtrusive, lightweight and reliable.

Encrypt Care is an easy to use, but powerful encryption app, which gives you the power to encrypt or decrypt text and files in batch mode, and generate, verify and export checksums. Encrypt Care uses powerful encryption algorithms to protect your data. The interface is easy to navigate and quite user friendly, with drag and drop support for easily adding files for encryption. Simply enter your chosen password, select your destination folder and begin the encryption process. With Encrypt Care you can perform multiple tasks with checksums, including generating a checksum of any text or file, export checksums to .TXT file or copy to clipboard. You can also generate hash for multiple files, and verify checksums as well. Key Features include: Encrypt and decrypt text and messages. Encrypt and decrypt files photos, documents, and apps. Overall, Encrypt Care is a good, all round encryption solution. It is an easy to use, yet powerful app that will protect the contents of your files and encrypt your text messages. The only downside we could find is that you are not able to set a master password that can be used for all encryptions. However, with some useful tools such as batch mode and checksum verification, Encrypt Care is a handy utility to own.

Advanced Password Manager is a fairly lightweight app that is able to detect and delete identity traces from your computer system after saving them to an encrypted vault secured by one master password. You can even generate strong passwords as well. The app securely locks your personal and financial information, so that you can unlock them using your own master key. With multiple passwords and login details to remember these days, with e-mail, social networking sites, blogs, forums etc. it can become difficult to keep track of them all. This is where the tendency to use the same password for all your accounts is unsecure and unsafe, because if someone obtains the password, all your accounts can be hacked without your notice. Overall, Advanced Password Manager is not that bad a solution to secure your digital life. It does have a few drawbacks, however. The interface is not that intuitive and there are a few annoying popup windows which appear for toll free support numbers to call. Apart from that, the basic design is ok, and it doesn't consume large amounts of system resources.

Support burning all popular formats to DVD. Creates different DVD types. Good interface. Easy to master. Would have cost hundreds of $$$ or €€€ 10 years ago. It's also compatible with every version of Windows back to XP, but if you are still using Windows XP at this stage of the game, you should know that Microsoft stopped supporting and issuing security updates some time ago and it's probably a good idea to think about upgrading. Overall Video Solo DVD Creator comes with everything you will need to make your own DVDs with menus, and editing features, and a simple 3 step process.
